Orchestra’s 2019 Fall Concert

On November 13, Academy’s upper and middle school orchestras performed in the fall’s concert, conducted by Mr. Wong. 

First to perform was the 6th grade that played “Dragon Dances” by Soon He Newbold. The 7th grade and 8th grade orchestras followed with melodies ranging from folk songs to a medley from Frozen.

Next came the upper school’s “Eleanor Rigby” by The Beatles, “Hallelujah” by Leonard Cohen, and “Scottish Symphony: Finale” by Felix Mendelssohn.

Our Advanced Upper School Orchestra performed Jim McMillen’s,”I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing” and ended with Mark Summer’s   “Gettysburg” and Aaron Copland’s “Hoe Down” from Rodeo, with solos by seniors JacobLiu and Howard Wang, Anna Linder’22, and Kate Fornshell’23.
