On Friday, October 11, and Saturday, October 12, our boys golf squad stormed the D-II State Tournament at Northstar Golf Club, nabbing its third consecutive state title.
With a total score of 615, our boys won by a landslide, with second place scoring a 644. Two rounds were played, one for each day. Russell Ahmed’22 scored a 76 for the first round and 75 in the second for a total of 151, while Matthew Cammeyer’20 earned a 74 and 77, also for a total of 151. Ali Khan’20 wasn’t far behind and scored a 79 for the first round and a 76 for the second, totaling a 155. Griffin Mitchell was hot on his heels with a 79 for both rounds, making his total 158. Kahmar Byers’20 rounded out the squad with an 85 and 82 for a total of 167.
With this last win, the Vikes have defended the titles and wrapped up the season with excellent results.
