CA boys soccer looked to continue a six game win streak with a home game against Hamilton Township on Tuesday, October 8.

The Vikes controlled the game, smothering the Rangers from the start and getting off many more shot attempts, resulting in a lopsided victory for the Vikes. Led by Sam Massick’s’20 hat trick, seniors Ezra Johnson and Josh Murry added one a piece and Leo Kass’23 pocketed one more giving the Vikes a 6-1 win.

On Saturday, October 12, Academy  played one of its toughest games of the season at Worthington Christian. The Warriors swarmed the Vikes and dominated offensively, with CA hurting from the loss of star defender and senior captain, Charlie Mueller, a few weeks earlier. Worthington Christian nearly shutout the Vikes before Murry knocked one in on a penalty kick, resulting in a 8-1 loss for the Vikings and snapping the team’s seven game win streak before playoffs.

This upcoming week CA begins the postseason tournament with districts on Wednesday, October 16, at home.
