Academy girls soccer went 1-1 this week in a pair of competitive games as the regular season winds down. The first was a 1-0 victory on Wednesday, October 2, against rival Worthington Christian at home. Junior Olivia Archibald scored the only goal of the game, as Sophie Spolter’22 blocked multiple shots to hold onto the win.

The other game this week had a less satisfying result, as the Vikings played Bloom Carroll away and lost 2-1 on Saturday, October 5, despite an early goal from junior Katie Schiano.

Next up for the Vikings is a Monday, October 7, match at St. Francis DeSales, followed by the final home game of the regular season on Thursday, October 10, against Buckeye Valley.

Our girls are ranked second in the District for Division 2 and are looking to have a long postseason run as the tournament draws nearer.
