The past week our Viking golf squads competed at districts, with our girls season unfortunately coming to an end but our boys advancing to states.

At Darby Creek on Monday, September 30, freshman Grace Luo placed 8th out of 36 players at districts with an outstanding score of 86, and the team as a whole placed 4th out of 8. Only the top three teams advanced, but it was a stellar season for the Vikes inaugural girls golf squad.

On Wednesday, October 2, our boys went to the Denison Golf Club to play in districts, gaining their 3rd District title in a row. The four seniors and single sophomore obtained a total score of 308, with Aditya Reddy’22 scoring an 81, Ali Khan’20 and Griffin Mitchell’20 77s, Kahmar Byers’20 a 76, and Matthew Cammeyer’20 a 78.

After districts, our boys had another tournament at Muirfield Village on Saturday, October 5, which was cut to 9-holes due to the fading daylight. Khan turned heads with an impressive score of 35.

Our boys will move on to states on Friday, October 11, at the Northstar Golf Club, looking to defend their title.
