Following 3 weeks of tough matches and great results, the field hockey team had a week of rest, playing a single game at New Albany.

Academy looked to extend its winning streak to double-digits against the Eagles in an easy matchup for the hopeful state championship squad.

The Vikes dominated the game, keeping possession of the ball and quickly finding scoring opportunities, with Carolyn Vaziri’22 finding the back of the cage off of a lift early in the game. Next to score was Regan Cornelius’21 off of a penalty corner. Then, Kiersten Thomassey’20 added a third to the tally, with Cornelius putting in a fourth to cap off the game, an easy win for Academy.

The team will look to continue its unbeaten streak in the coming weeks with a rivalry match at Thomas Worthington on Monday, September 23, and then a tough game at Bishop Hartley on Wednesday, September 25.
