With  varsity taking the week off, Academy’s JV boys and girls raced in the Bloom Carroll Invitational on Saturday, September 14. 

Against nine other teams, our boys tallied 138 points. With the help of Calvin Wade’20 and Alex O Connor’20, both ran sub 19 minutes and placed 19th and 20th,respectively, placing the Vikes fifth, winning over top teams such as Worthington Christian, Circleville, Madison Christian, and Wellington.

Our girls also had a strong performance. Led by Samantha Frickel’23, Janet Li’22, Zara Syed’22, and Yashu Tanneru’22, these Vikes ran their way to a team average of 28 minutes and 5 seconds. But being short one runner, CA wasn’t qualified to gain a score.

Both the JV and varsity look to push to the front of the pack next Saturday, September 21 at the Tiger Invitational hosted by Pickerington Central.
