The CA girls lacrosse team was dominant this past week, winning all three of their games.

The first and toughest game of the week was against Granville on Tuesday, April 9.

The Vikings’ defense did a good job of limiting Granville’s shots, but the Aces connected with the back of the net on every opportunity, converting all six of their shots to goals. Our girls offense wasn’t quite as efficient, but they made more offensive opportunities and held a 9-6 lead at halftime.

Following the break, Lauren Bernacki’20 and Lexi Leader’19 led Academy to an 11-9 victory with 3 goals a piece. Bernacki also added an assist.

On Thursday, April 11, our girls hosted rival Bishop Hartley. The team cruised to victory, jumping out to an early lead and never looking back, winning 18-7.

The girls followed up with another big win on Saturday, April 13, at Rocky River, dominating from start to finish and coming away with a 16-4 win.

The team hopes to build upon its 4-game winning streak in the upcoming week. Their Senior Night against Wellington is on Tuesday, April 16, before the Vikes travel to New Albany on Thursday, April 18.
