Mr. David Wong’s Orchestral Debut

Academy’s Orchestra showcased an array of scores on Wednesday, November 14. Our new orchestra instructor, Mr. David Wong, conducted the school’s annual Orchestra Concert, featuring our Middle and Upper School musicans, whose striking black and white attire complemented the evening’s high bar of play.

Peter Heerman’22 announced “Wired” as “crisp” and “energetic,” the first piece. Davey Agrawal’22 introduced“Ashokan Farewell” and sophomore Ebube Nwoke announced the final song, “Starlight.”  

Aden Weiser’ 19, a member of the Advanced Orchestra announced its impressive “Symphony No. 9″ from “The New World”: Mvt 1,” followed by “Arioso,” introduced by senior Camille Reeves. Eric Menq’19 announced the adventurous “American Reel,” and Maggie Ridgeway’19 explained the final piece of the night, “Libertango,”which ended the night on a fun note.
