Following bronze medal finishes at the state tournament for the past two years, Academy’s boys swimming team is gearing up to edge higher on the podium this season. Led by senior captains Jack Campbell and David Barren, the Vikings have already started intense practices to gear up for their first meet.
CA will host its annual intra-squad scrimmage on Monday, November 19, fostering a competitive atmosphere and encouraging bonding among the swimmers.
The AquaVikes lost eight seniors, including state champion Max Dreisbach, so the team looks to strong junior and senior classes to pave the way to a successful season. Key returnees include Campbell, Eric DeVore’19, Jacob Eismann’19, and Mike DeAscentis’20, who all placed third in the state for the 200-medley relay in February.
