Our In the Know team of Aden Weiser’19, Andrew Cahall’20, Gabe Taub’21 and Lucas Huang’21 defeated Thomas Worthington on October 29 with a score 620-375 in the second round of the WOSU tournament.
Academy entered the match with some concern, as Worthington had defeated its previous opponent 900-55, but the Vikes played with speed and confidence. It was a close match with several stretches when the teams were tied, but our team made a strong finish to pull away.
The team will move on to the round of 16 in a televised match on November 19 against an opponent to be determined.
