CoGo bikes are docked in set stations, and people can rent them to travel around Columbus. There are 3 different passes that allow you unlimited 30-minute rides around the city.
And as winter approaches rapidly, people all around are looking for exciting ways to spend the last few weeks outdoors.
CoGo Bikes offer a variety of memberships for people spanning one day or even a year. The day and 3-day passes are great for people who are visiting Columbus and who enjoy spending time outside. The year-long membership is great for residents near downtown Columbus and who prefer to bike around instead of driving.
These rental bikes are worth the money. From a sturdy frame to puncture-resistant tires, these bikes are well equipped to handle hundreds of uses throughout the streets. They feature self-powered LED lights that automatically turn on as well as chain guards and fenders to protect the bike from rain or dirt.
There is always an abundant number of bikes available around downtown Columbus. In addition, the TransitApp for your phone and the CoGo bike website can provide bike availability and stations specifically located in your area. It’s also possible for the app to keep track of your current riding time.
You can take out a bike from one station and return it to any station around Columbus. But before you rent them, it’s necessary to learn the rules that all bike riders around the city need to follow, such as never riding on the sidewalks or never riding distracted.
All of the official rules can be found on the CoGo bikes website. For example, helmets are required for all riders who are under the age of 18. And while it is not required for those above 18, it is highly recommended. You have to bring a helmet as they do not provide them at the stations, but annual members can be offered coupons for up to 15% off of helmets at select stores listed on their website.
These bikes are a great way for people who work in downtown Columbus to take a break from driving and go outside.
