There are plenty of restaurants in close proximity to Columbus Academy. However, Tora might be the best of all of them.

Located directly across Hamilton Road from Stoneridge, Tora offers a wide variety of both sushi and other Asian dishes.

Sushi fans will be enthralled with the vast selection of dishes. Their rolls vary from classic options like the California roll (containing crab, avocado, and cucumber) and the Shrimp Tempura roll (with shrimp tempura and cucumber) to more specialized and creative choices. Their specialty is the Tora Special, which has shrimp tempura, crab stick, spicy snow crab, and teriyaki sauce on top.

Those who aren’t big fans of sushi still have plenty to choose from at Tora. Their menu has an extensive amount of Japanese and Korean dishes.

Appetizers include shrimp tempura, which comes with five pieces, miso soup, and a gyoza dumpling, which is stuffed with pork and vegetables.

The list of entrees is also expansive, with steak and chicken. A specialty of Tora is the stone pots. A classic Korean method of serving food, the stone pots are filled with rice, vegetables and your choice of meat.

Bulgogi beef, which consists of thin, marinated slices of beef grilled on a barbecue or on a stove-top griddle and stir-fried with mushrooms and onions, is another classic Korean dish offered. Other specialties include teriyaki salmon, shrimp hibachi, which is stir-fried with zucchini, squash, mushroom, and onion, and beef short ribs (kalbi beef).

All entrees at Tora come with a choice of miso soup or salad, as well as a side dish of asparagus, broccoli or rice to complement your selection.
