Academy’s volleyball squad ended up with two wins and two losses and last week.
Academy played Westerville South High on September 11 in an intensive 2 and 1/2 hour match. The Wildcats got off to a good start with a 25-21 lead. The Vikings rallied with a 25-23 gain in the next set. The Wildcats swung the game in their favor, winning the third set, 25-21. Academy played the next round like it was its last, winning 25-16. In the fifth set, the Vikings finally beat the Wildcats with a 15-7 win.
The Vikes hit the road to Grandview Heights on Thursday, September 13th, and brought down the Bobcats, 3-1.
On Saturday, September 15, our girls lost a double header to Northridge. With another game in little over an hour, the team had little time to rest and fell to its second opponent, Columbus School for Girls.
With a 9-3 record, the squad faces Madison Christian on Monday, September 17.
