The Vikings started off this week by hosting their rival Buckeye Valley on Wednesday, September 12. After ninety hard-fought minutes, the Vikes emerged victorious, with junior Emma Belford and freshman Aniah Crockett’s goals, propelling the girls to a 2-1 win.
Attempting to ride the high, the CA girls battled Wellington on Saturday, September 15, as part of the Community Day festivities. After conceding an early goal, the girls fought back to tie it up with a goal by sophomore Katie Schiano. In the end, neither team edged out the other, and the final score remained 1-1.
The girls hope to improve their 4-1-2 record this week, with games at Bishop Hartley on Monday, September 17, and at West Liberty-Salem on Saturday, September 22.
