After starting its 2018 season with last week’s victories against Bexley and Amanda Clearcreek, Academy’s volleyball squad was determined to keep its winning streak going.

On Tuesday, August 28th, the Volley Vikes faced Grove City Christian on their field.. The team had a close first set, but ended up coming out with a 25-23 lead. With some fantastic defense, Academy swept during a quick second set, 25-4 and wrapped up the game with an intense final set, 26-24.

The Vikings had a quick turnaround and played another away match at Worthington Christian two days later on Thursday, August 30. Right away, our girls took a commanding lead, winning the first set quickly with a score of 25-13. Worthington Christian fought back, but the Vikes were red-hot and kept their control of the match to win the next two sets 25-15 and 25-9.

After winning another two games this week, CA sits with an outstanding 4-0 record and hasn’t given up a single set in the regular season. Next week, the Spiking Vikings play on Tuesday, September 4, facing Tree of Life in the Mackenzie Gym.
