Summer Reads for the Fall

As customary during our final week of classes, students met with their summer reading groups to discuss the assignments. Academy’s summer reading program provides a unique opportunity for students to engage in literature over the summer. Many of the group assignments involve sharing and discussing certain aspects of the book after break.

Each year, several books are nominated by faculty members as potential options. Students are placed into book groups depending on their personal choices. Certain books, such as Agatha Christie’s Murder on the Orient Express were so popular that multiple book groups have been created to accommodate this wide interest.

Summer reading will remain a tradition, for it promotes both learning and bonding before the new school year.
