The CA boys track team continued its postseason journey with a second-place finish at the regional meet on Wednesday, May 23, and on Friday, May 25, at Fairfield Union High School. Numerous individuals and relays qualified for regional finals and states, making the performance even more special.

Senior Karibi Hart bolted to fourth in the 100 with a time of 11.08, and second in the 200 with a time of 22.08, advancing to states in both events.

Not to be outdone, fellow senior Nick Robie flew around the track in the mile, snagging first place in 4:28.45. Classmate Nick Watson also impressed, running a 1:58.62 in the 800 to take fourth.

The boys relays had several strong performances, as the 4×100, 4×400, and 4×800 all qualified for states.

Juniors David Barren and Harry Mills, sophomore Sam Massick, and Hart, won the 4×100 in a blazing 43.54. An all-senior team consisting of Robie, Watson, Angus Soderberg, and Hart, also grabbed a victory in the 4×400, with a time of 3:24.82.

The Vikings will compete again at the state meet on Friday, June 1, and Saturday, May 2, at Ohio State University.
