Concert Band hosted its spring show on Tuesday, April 24. “Blaze the Trail,” a superior-rated piece that the band performed at the OMEA districts, was the opener. In a solo on the French horn, Sarah Morris’18 played “Concerto in Eb.”

After “Fable,” an interactive “Argh! Disney Sing-Along” with the audience was a surprise and a hit. The band played its final piece, “John Williams in Concert,” which was a medley of songs composed by this famous composer. Themes included pieces from Star Wars, ET, and Jaws. Ellie Jeffers’20 composed a video for this number.

Freshman Bea Sull received the Most Improved award. Sarah Morris’ 18 received The John Philip Sousa Award, which rewards a senior for “loyalty, commitment, and leadership.”

Mrs. Sneeringer ended the ceremony with a recognition of all seniors and their individual contributions to the band, concluding the last of their concerts on a touching note.
