With a 4-1 record in tow, the Academy girls lacrosse club breezed past a whopping four opponents in five days. The Vikings are clicking on all cylinders as the home stretch of the regular season approaches.

The girls hit the road on Tuesday, April 17, ready to challenge the Jaguars of Wellington. Junior Lexi Leader and sophomore Abby Yakam led the scoring charge for CA, with each notching four goals. On the other end, freshman goalkeeper Ashley Reynolds collected five saves, and the Vikes came out with an impressive 16-3 win.

After six consecutive road matchups, Academy was back on familiar ground when it hosted Bishop Watterson on Thursday, April 19. The Vikings forced 12 turnovers and attempted a ridiculous 31 shots on goal, resulting in a 13-4 blowout victory.

CA carried its momentum into a pair of matchups on Saturday, April 20, as the Vikes took on the Hawken School and Peters Township at Thomas Worthington. The girls demolished both squads, defeating Hawken 15-5, and Peters Township 16-4.

Academy’s matchups have almost exclusively occurred on the road; however, four of the next five on the calendar take place at Carlin Fields. The Vikings look to defend their turf, hosting New Albany on Monday, April 23 and DeSales on Wednesday, April 25.
