After weeks of hard work, the ceramics students finally saw their art come to life on Friday, December 8. Academy’s second Empty Bowls event took place at Otterbein University in collaboration with the Westerville Habitat for Humanity. Mr. Rahe said his favorite part was seeing all of the artwork on display in the beginning and how proud the students were of what they accomplished.

With a smaller crew of only 10 throwers this year (compared to last years 20) 189 bowls were created. The bowls along with a soup dinner were sold at 15$ each. Approximately 200 tickets were sold. Proceeds go the “Wall Build” project-to be constructed by the Academy community in August, 2018.
