The bowling team started its season with a match against Centennial at HP Lanes on Monday, December 4. Unfortunately, both the boys and girls teams fell to the Centennial Stars, 1533-1696 and 1230-1373, respectively.
The Striking Vikings didn’t allow the loss to bring them down as they looked ahead to a match against Hilliard Davidson on Wednesday, December 6. The girls team bounced back and beat its divisional opponent 1371-1194. This win was as due in large part to sensational performances from senior Isabella Bettinger and sophomore Nikki Turley. The boys came out strong but failed to secure a win, falling 1518-1973.
Both teams looked to continue to grow at HP Lanes against Worthington Christian on Friday, December 8. Unfortunately, neither team picked up a win, with the boys losing 1642-1989, and the girls 1137-1619.
The team looks to put this week behind them and focus on next week’s battles against Pickerington Central on Tuesday, December 12 and Pickerington North on Thursday, December 14.
