Boys Swimming Kicks-off Season with a Win

The CA boys swimmers kicked off their season with a home meet on Friday, December 1 against Bishop Watterson. Senior captain Max Dreisbach led the team to its first record of the season, breaking the 200 freestyle pool record with a 1:43.02. The boys dominated all freestyle events, claiming first or second in each. Standout junior Jack Campbell took first in the 200 IM, and Dreisbach snagged first in the 100 backstroke. The Vikes won the meet with 103 total points.

With little time to recover, the boys dove into their first invitational, Saturday, December 3, at Ohio University. Here, the team impressed again, smashing more records. The boys set new meet records in the 200 medley relay, the 200 freestyle, the 100 backstroke, and the 400 freestyle relay. With these tremendous accomplishments, the team will continue their momentum into next week’s matchups.

The boys’ next meet is on Friday, December 8, followed by a relay meet on Saturday, December 9.
