After a 7-0 win over archrival Bexley on Thursday, September 28, the Academy field hockey team flexed its muscles again, shutting out two more tough opponents.

On Wednesday, October 4, the Vikings played Olentangy Orange at home. CA cruised to a 4-0 win with goals scored by Charlotte Adams’21, Carolyn Bowman’19 (2), and Angel Watkins’18.

The Vikes then geared up to clash with New Albany on Thursday, October 5. Despite being in enemy territory, CA throttled the Eagles in a 7-0 victory. In addition to its stellar defense, Academy’s high-powered offensive attack was led by goals from Bowman (2), Watkins, Callista Popp’19 (2), Regan Cornelius’21, and Sammie Kass’19.

The end of the regular season is rapidly approaching for the Vikes, as they look to finish with three home games. Academy hosts Lancaster on Wednesday, October 11, Shaker Heights on Friday, October 13, and Ursuline Academy on Saturday, October 14.
