The time when the results matter most is finally here: postseason has arrived.

CA came into sectionals as favorites to win on Tuesday, September 26. The Vikes traveled an hour north to the picturesque Oakhaven Golf Club in Delaware, Ohio, to commence the long awaited day. 

Academy’s star-studded lineup included senior co-captains Sam Vogel and Cole Walter, plus the remarkable trio of sophomores, Khamar Byers, Ali Khan, and Matthew Cammeyer. 

The Vikings snagged a first place finish by a comfortable margin over second place finisher, Bishop Hartley. Walter led CA with a 71. Vogel shot 75, Byers carded a 78, and Khan was close behind with a 79. Cammeyer followed with an 81.

With its top finish, the Vikes head to districts on Wednesday, October 4, at the Denison Golf Club.
