Riding a four-game winning streak, the girls tennis team continues to shine, sweeping Olentangy on Monday, September 18. The VIkes won every court in convincing fashion, but two particularly strong spots came from freshman Sydni Ratliff and the doubles pair of Himaja Reddy’19 and Georgia Tuckerman’18. Both won their courts 6-0, 6-0.

On Tuesday, September 19, the team enjoyed its best performance of the season against Grandview Heights. The Vikes not only swept the Cougars, but they didn’t drop a single game, winning every match 6-0, 6-0.

After three days of practice, the Vikings looked ahead to the MSL tournament on Saturday, September 23. Academy had the privilege of hosting the tournament and played against London, Worthington Christian, Wellington, Grandview Heights, and Bexley.

CA took down every team, and the Vikes received first place honors in every position and court.

The Vikings have three matches this week, traveling to CSG and Bishop Watterson on Monday, September 25 and Wednesday, September 27, respectively. The girls will host New Albany on Thursday, September 28.
