Field Hockey Suffers First Defeat

The Columbus Academy field hockey team endured its first loss of the season against Granville on Wednesday, September 6. Although the game ended in defeat for Academy, the Vikings put up a great fight.

During the game, it seemed as if CA had possession of the ball at all times. Despite taking a whopping 27 shots, however, the Vikes failed to net a goal against a tough Blue Aces goalkeeper. On the other hand, Granville capitalized in the few moments it had the ball, scoring its lone goal on just 2 shots on goal.

The Vikings will have two opportunities to rebound at home this week: scheduled are a clash against Bishop Hartley on Tuesday, September 12, and a matchup against Olentangy Liberty on Thursday, September 14.
