Apple’s iPhone 8: Almost at Our Fingertips

This year, Apple’s September event, well known for revealing the newest iPhones, will take place on Tuesday, September 12. Apple’s anticipated iPhone 8, along with updates to the Apple Watch and Apple TV, will be revealed at this summit.

The modification that is most discussed right now is the “bezel-less display.” Like the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+, the iPhone 8 will no longer have an outside frame, allowing for more display.

The removal of this border will simultaneously result in the loss of a physical “Home Button.” Nonetheless, there are replacements that can supersede this absence. FaceID, which could, in theory, allow consumers to sign in using facial recognition, is a plausible successor to the Home Button.

The iPhone 8’s new vertically placed dual-cameras will not only serve as feedback for FaceID, but also feature the ability to record video in 4K resolution at 60 frames per second, with both the front and rear cameras. As a result of the improvement in video of resolution, an increase in file size is unavoidable. To compensate for this enlargement, the new iPhone will also support Apple’s new file type, HEVC (high efficiency video coding), which can reduce the file’s volume by almost 50% and result in better storage management.

The iPhone 8 will also bolster the leading-edge version of iOS, which 11 will highlight a redesigned control center, improved Siri functionality, and a built-in screen recording software. Complementary to the software update, Apple will also modernize the hardware, with a wireless charging component on the phone’s back, which puts it on the same level as Samsung.

The  catch is the phone’s $1,000 price tag.  So students and parents alike may want to rethink their decision before placing an order on Friday, September 15, the purported date  when preorders will open.
