Good Week for Girls Lacrosse

On Wednesday, May 17th, the girls lacrosse team hosted Miami Valley, its first opponent in the tournament. After our team’s disappointing loss against Bexley, the girls were itching to redeem themselves, and they did so in spectacular fashion.

The Vikes wasted no time in racking up points, and there was nothing Miami Valley could do about it. The Vikings’ offense was unstoppable, and what little defense they played was stifling.

By the time the final buzzer rang, the Vikes had put 16 unanswered goals on Miami Valley. Our girls had set the tone for the rest of their playoff journey, and certainly stuck to it again on Saturday, May 20, when they played Wellington in the regional quarterfinals.

Once again, the Vikings dominated Wellington in every aspect. of The team saw standout performances from many individual players, including sophomore Tani Obikunle with 5 goals and senior Michelle Daoud with three.

The Vikings ended up defeating Wellington 17-6.

The girls next game is the regional semifinals on Wednesday, May 24, when they host Worthington Kilbourne.
