The Vikes upheld strong performances this week competing at Kirk Campus on Tuesday, May 2, and the Mt. Gilead Invitational on Saturday, May 6.

Although Academy competed against 1 teams at the Invitational, they did not go unnoticed, with standout performances across the board.

KJ Boyce’17 dominated the field, earning second place in the 200 finals with a time of 22.6. He then outdid himself in the 400 by placing first, in front of twenty other runners with a time of 51.5. Fellow senior Dylan Warren burst in right behind him in 400 taking third in 54.3.

Senior Grayson Mick and Junior Nick Watson racked up the points for the team in the 800, earning second in 2:02.8 and fourth, at 2:05.3, respectively.
