With the current seniors’ hit of a galactic prom at the ever-so-famous Lazer Craze last spring, this year’s prom committee had some pressure to match it, and on April 22, the organizers did not disappoint. Held at The Taylor Mansion, with its had old-time feel, the venue and the theme—“A Timeless Tradition” theme—matched perfectly.
Since most of the activities at mansion were outdoors, a lot that could have gone awry. Fortunately, it was bearable enough to mingle out on the outdoor dance floor or get pictures taken under the night sky.
The chocolate fountain with the choice of marshmallows, rice krispies, chocolate cookies, and more was a hit.
A designated game room gave students the chance to kick back and play a nice game of Clue.
Keeping with tradition, the juniors organized a surprise for the seniors, who gathered at 10:00pm to light sparklers and savor their last school dance together.
Special thanks to the Prom Committee, Ms. Graan, and Ms. Stout for taking weather-related risks, but bringing home the win. It was nice to forget about school and stress for a night and travel back in time.
