Grand Prix Karting Unleashed Inner Need for Speed

For those Central Ohio thrill-seekers looking to satiate an adrenaline rush, enter Grand Prix Karting.

The massive 120,000 square foot driving center in the downtown takes the innocent fun of go-karts and dials it up to 11. Participants view a brief tutorial before being escorted into the main building, a repurposed warehouse, where the long twisting tracks, NASCAR-esque helmets, and of course, the karts lie in anticipation of their operators’ arrival.

Strap into the six-point harness, drop your visor, and hit the gas.

Keep in mind, these aren’t sluggish little junkers. Rather, these mini autos take the driver upwards of 30 miles per hour, quite a lot when the lack of a windshield is taken into account.

Suddenly, the scenery blurs, the small, feisty engine roars, and stench of gasoline envelops the senses. The car zooms across the cement, going faster and faster, until everything is stripped away until only the most primal instincts prevail.

Grand Prix delivers a driving experience capable of fulfilling the most incredible racing fantasies. Even if acceleration powerful enough to tie knots in your gut doesn’t sound all that appealing.

But then you might just release the inner speed demon you didn’t know you had.
