Make It a Double

Koko Tea Salon

Among the many fun things to do in downtown Gahanna’s Creekside, Koko Tea Salon and Bakery stands out.

It has been featured on Food Network, a clear testament to the quality of their sweet confections and wide variety of teas.

Koko is especially known for their bubble tea, a Taiwanese drink consisting of tea, tapioca pearls, and sometimes milk. In addition, don’t let the “bakery” part of the name be forgotten. Daily, Koko serves up exquisitely frosted cupcakes, pastel colored macarons, and warm bread twists.

The building itself is rather small, with creaky wood floors and a parlor style dining room. Gauzy curtains printed with roses adorn the windows, looking out to a view of the fountains across the street.
