Wrestling Update

The Vikes headed to Troy, Ohio, on March 3 and 4, to compete at the 2017 Division 3 District Championships. The Vikes took six wrestlers, who qualified for Districts, a new school record.

Only junior Josh Pearson secured a victory in his first match, setting up a tough road for the Vikes the rest of the way. Pearson was later defeated in a triple-overtime thriller.

Although this might not have been the ideal outcome for the Vikes, this tournament was a perfect opportunity for the younger wrestlers to get some experience under their belts.

The wrestling Vikes are only losing two seniors this year and will be even stronger and ready to perform at a high-level next season.

What an incredible season, full of fantastic memories that these young men will remember forever.

It is exciting to know that there is a bright future ahead of this program over the next few years!
