Ohio is usually cloudy, so sunny days are rare. Three of our state’s cities list in the US’s top 10 of the cloudiest. Cincinnati ranks 51%, Columbus with 52%, and Cleveland—with little surprise—at 55%.
On February 24, central Ohio’s was a warm 75 degrees Fahrenheit. About one week later, it was a freezing 32. For most of that month, it was raining or snowing, with the sun peeking from behind the clouds for 30 seconds every hour.
The fourth week of February had temperatures no lower than 57 degrees. But after the pleasant 61 degrees in the first half on the next week, temps plummeted to 39 and then to 32. We even had thunderstorms and some snow.
Spring break is predicted to be relatively stable, with the lowest temperature being 47 on March 14. The rest of spring break is forecasted to 70’s and 80’s. Let’s hope we see more sun than usual!
