A stroll down Columbus’s Short North District is a treat itself, with art studios, eateries, and various shops that can hit the spot.

For dog lovers, the Three Dog Bakery will host its annual St. Patrick Day “Paw Party” on March 15, giving canines and their owners an unusually fun spectacle. All dog treats and accessories will all be 30% off. (611 North High.)

A favorite of foodies is The Pearl, with unusual features, such as N’Awlins Stye Baked Oysters and Grilled Cheese filled with brie, pear jam, roasted squash, and arugula pesto. Its pies are made fresh, with many daily specials. For lighter fares, Brassica hardly disappoints with falafel, hummus, and a good selection of teas.
