The wrestling Vikes traveled to Orange High School in Cleveland on Saturday, February 18, to take on many teams at the Audrey Genovese Memorial Tournament.

It was another tournament filled with ups and downs. Too many early losses for the Vikes made it difficult for them to bounce back when it came to bracket play. As fatigue set in, the Vikes had to face stronger competition as the day progressed.

The tournament was highlighted by junior Josh Pearson, who finished first overall in the 195 weight class, winning all of his matches by pin.

Sophomore Thomas Jones placed 4th, junior Carson Nicholas finished 5th, and sophomore Bobby Diller along with freshman Phillip Soderberg took 6th.

The post-season continues for the Vikes on Saturday, February 25th, with Sectionals taking place at Madison Plains high school.
