On Wednesday, February 1, the wrestling team was short handed because juniors Angus Soderberg and Josh Pearson had no opponents in their weight classes. Without a good showing, the team came away without any wins.

On Saturday February 4, the boys travelled to London high school to take on several teams at the MSL Championship.

With seniors captains Anthony Sugar and Jeremiah Mill out with injuries and a day filled with undesirable performances, the only consistent outcome was from from junior Josh Pearson, who finished second in the 182 pound weight class and was named second team all league. Angus Soderberg ’18, Bobby Diller’19, and freshmen Sam Lichten, Donovan Simpson, and   Philip Soderberg all placed fourth in their weight classes.

This was not the start to the postseason the Vikings had hoped for. So the team will have to put its best foot forward heading into sectionals in the upcoming weeks.
