Coming off a big win in its five-team tournament on January 21, the boys wrestling team traveled to Amanda Clearcreek to take on multiple opponents in the OHSAA state duals regional quarter final on Wednesday, January 25th.
Unfortunately for the Vikes, this meet didn’t go as well as they hoped. Each wrestler only had one match, taking on difficult opponents. All but one of the Vikings suffered a loss, as junior co-captain Josh Pearson was a silver lining for the Vikes, winning in his 182 pound weight class.
The Vikings know they have plenty to improve in preparation for their next meet, on Wednesday, February 1 against Marion Franklin.
Despite the tough loss, it is a great opportunity for the Vikes to grow and become a better team as they head into the postseason.
