Both the girls and boys swim teams faced cutthroat competition against CSG and St. Charles, on Friday, January 6th. Unfortunately, neither team pulled off a win, but each showed grit and posted some impressive results.

For the girls, in the 200 IM Audrey Grammel’17, Jane Li’18, and Abby Yakam’20 took first, second, and third places, respectively. Grammel also won first in the 100-yard freestyle. Each of the three girls relay teams placed second in their respective events.

The boys swam a 1:46.63 in the 200-yard medley relay. In their most recent meet against St. Charles, the 200-yard medley clocked in at 1:39.09-a massive 7.54 second drop. Additionally, the 200-yard freestyle relay dropped 4 seconds from December 9th to January 6th.

Win or lose, both teams are swimming faster and continue to improve as the season progresses. Come postseason time, the Aqua Vikes will certainly be dangerous.
