Our boys wrestling team had its first meet of the season on Saturday, December 3, at St. Francis DeSales High School against multiple opponents, including Olentangy Liberty, Grove City Christian, and Bexley.

Josh Pearson‘18 won the 195 weight class, losing only one match. Because most of the team is composed of first-year wrestlers, our our boys were at a slight disadvantage. Thomas Jones’19, however, placed fourth in his 160 weight class, finishing with a 3-2 record. With this being his first meet, he is likely to be a valuable to addition to the team.

The Vikings have a lot of potential and are working hard to have a successful season this year. Their next meets are on Wednesday, December 7, at Linden McKinley at 5pm and on Thursday, December 8, at home at 5:30pm.
