Last Open Mic of the Year Unifies Students

On the evening of Friday, May 6, Music Club hosted the final Open Mic of the year, held in the theater lobby.

From original songs to covers and from soloists to groups, the night was packed with around twenty acts that showcased how diverse and talented Academy’s students are. Many, who are not usually involved in performing arts or Music Club, surprised the audience of students with their noteworthy talent.

To wrap up the night, Music Club president, Nathan Salon’16, passed down the mic to the 2016-2017 president, Kami Tibbles ’17.

Open Mic was an overall success, unifying all grades in one of the most casual performances at Academy.
