Boys Basketball Senior Night

On Friday, January 22, the boys basketball team celebrated Senior Night with a 53-43 win against West Jefferson. The largest student section of the season, along with an ESPN desk and commentators, came out to support seniors Jack Mills, Jake Mitchell, Sam Tuckerman, and Matt Watters.

Mills even went in for the first play of the game–his first game of the season–despite his foot injury. At half-time, the Little Dribblers took the court and showed off their basketball skills.

West Jefferson took the lead in the first quarter, winning 9-8, but the Vikings quickly came back and held the lead the rest of the game. Leading scorers include Ryan Alexander’17 with 19 points and Jake Mitchell’16 with 12 points.

On Thursday, January 21, the team crushed Gahanna Christian 77-34. Alexander once again led the team with a season high of 21 points.

In the upcoming week, the boys will take on rival Worthington Christian on Tuesday, January 26 and will travel to Kiski on Saturday the 30th.
