On Friday, December 4th, the girls lost to Bishop Watterson 65-105. Seniors Sydney Brault and Sarah Campbell, Audrey Grammel’17, and Jane Li’18, led the team with strong swims. Brault won the 500 free, Campbell won the 100 back, and Brault, Campbell, Grammel, and Li placed first in the 400 relay.
On Saturday, December 5, the girls placed 2nd out of six teams, scoring 90 points and finishing only 4 points behind first place. The 400 medley relay, composed of Brault, Grammel, Li, and Campbell, placed first. The 500 free relay also placed first, made up of Mercedes Crestanello’19, Callista Popp’19, Brault, and Campbell. And, the 300 backstroke relay finished strong, composed of Murphy Rubcich’17, Inji Kang’19, and Li.
It should be an exciting season for the girls with two swimmers, Brault and Campbell, committed to swim in college. Their next meet is Friday, December 11, against Village Academy and Newark Catholic.
On Friday, December 4, the boys beat Bishop Watterson 125-41. Dylan Warren’17, Nate Goldfarb’17, Tin Le’17, and Max Dreisbach’18 won the 200 medley relay. Warren won the 200 freestyle, Dreisbach won the 50 freestyle, Warren won the 100 freestyle, and Jack Campbell’19 won the 500 freestyle. The boys continued to dominate the rest of the events, winning the 200 freestyle relay composed again of Warren, Goldfarb, Le, and Dreisbach. Jacob Eismann’19 placed first in the 100 backstroke, Goldfarb won the 100 breaststroke, and the relay team made up of Goldfarb, Eismann, J. Campbell, and Raymond Cao’17 won the 400 freestyle relay.
On Saturday, December 5, the boys team dominated the relay meet, placing first by 53 points. The 400 medley relay placed first again, the 300 medley relay with Goldfarb, J. Campbell, and Luke Tiberi’18 won, and the 200 free relay with Le, Eismann, Warren, and Harrison Zaye’18 also came in first. The 200 fly relay, made up of Andrew Heermann’16, Dreisbach, and Peter Dimaggio’19, placed first, and the 500 free relay with Keenan Bellisari’19, Heermann, Jacob Jeffers’16, and Cao won.
The 300 back relay also won with Eismann, Tommy Mampieri’17, and Warren. Continuing the winning streak, the boys solidified their overall win with a first place finish in the 300 breast relay, made up of Cao, Goldfarb, and Chirstopher Heermann’18.
