On Saturday, November 2, the boys and girls cross country teams wrapped up their season as they competed in the Division III State Cross Country Meet at National Trail Raceway.

Following their 2nd place finish at Districts, the boys secured their spot at States for the first time since 2002 after finishing 3rd at Regionals. The team finished 15th in the state and was led respectively by Nick Robie’18, Atticus Lee’16, and Grayson Mick’17 with 72nd, 85th, and 124th place finishes. “It has been the best season of my life,” says Mick.

Audrey Grammel’17 represented the girls cross country team and finished 58th in the meet with a time of 20:14.8.

The key to cross country’s great season has been its new coach, Denny Hammond, and the team’s hard work. According to Mick, this year’s team was the “best group of hardworking people I’ve ever met.”
