London Defeats Academy in Its Final Game

On Friday, October 30, the football team faced London during its last game of the season. London quickly took the lead and was ahead 14-0 at the end of the first quarter. The Vikings put up their first touchdown during the second quarter when Herman Moultrie’18 had a 3-yard run into the end zone.

When the second half of the game began, the Vikes made a field goal, bringing them closer to their opponents on the scoreboard. London, however,  had another touchdown to widen the gap again, staying ahead 21-10.

Well into the fourth quarter, the last quarter of the Vikings’ football season, London scored to solidify its lead 28-10. With a few minutes left, the Vikings added six points to the scoreboard, with Moultrie catching a pass from QB Matt Watters’16.

Unfortunately, this was the last touchdown of the game. The Vikings lost 28-16.
