Field Hockey Qualifies for States

After defeating Lancaster, the Vikings took on Granville, who chose to play against our girls in the next round. Despite playing a more qualified opponent, the result was more of the same, with CA easily dispatching of the Blue Aces.

Academy scored five goals, with two from Maddie Vaziri’16, one from Grace Geiger’16, and one apiece from juniors, Baylee Mueller and Alaina Gwin. This was plenty of offense for the team as it rolled to a 5-0 win.

These two wins helped prepare the Vikings for their game against Bishop Watterson. Despite only scoring one goal, Academy’s suffocating defense got the job done, shutting down yet another team.

Win the win, Academy advanced to the state tournament.

The Vikes will play against Hudson on Friday, November 6, at Upper Arlington High School.
