A Chilly Night but a Cheerful Charlie David

Friday, October 9, was the Charlie David Dinner, bringing food, football, and fun for all CA families. The event began with a barbecue dinner in the Dining Hall at 5, as students and their families enjoyed the food and browsed over the auction items.

The traditional boardwalk was in the Old Gym, with stands sponsored by CA’s many clubs, including China Club, GROW, GSA, Latin Club, and Art Society . Finally, everyone gathered at the football field to cheer on the Vikings against Madison Plains at 7:30. The pink-clad student section and pep band braved the chilly evening for a nerve-wrackingly close game.

Unfortunately, the Vikings trailed by two points for the entirety, and the game ended with a score of 38-36. Even so, the Vikings graciously accepted the defeat, and it was still a night of fun for the Academy community.
