On Thursday, October 3rd, and one of the coldest days the new school year, students huddled at the tennis courts to watch the varsity girls take on teams from across Central Ohio for the regional title. Wins include Georgia Tuckerman’18 at 1st in singles, Makela Hughes’16 at 2nd singles, and Janelle Ghanem’17 at 3rd singles. The doubles’ teams of Sarah Wexner’17 and Jacinta Crestanello’17 and of Deeksha Bathini’17 and Lexis Hughes’18 also defeated their opponents.

In their other matches, the girls defeated Watterson 3-2 on Monday, September 28th, winning 1st and 2nd singles and 2nd doubles. On Wednesday, September 30th, the girls swept the courts against Pickerington Centralwith a 5-0 win. The team’s record 10-6 as it prepares for a strong performance in States.
