“Find Your Heart” is this year’s Service Day motto. On Friday, September 11, students will seek a balance among seriousness, respect, engagement, and fun under the careful guidance and planning of Nida Pervez, Service Board President, and Mrs. Bening, Service Board’s longtime advisor.

The day will begin with an exciting assembly to get everyone in the right spirit of service. A grade level challenge and a surprise recognition piece will take place.

After the assembly, advisories will head to their sites for a morning of service work, including the Ronald McDonald House, Faith Mission, and the Y Family Center.

“Service Day,” says Mrs. Bening,” is meant to promote kindness and to remember the people that are being helped–not just the achievement of the task–so it’s important for students to put their hearts into the work in front of them.”
